Problem with X/Y Coordinates in Illustrator CS3

I'm using Adobe Illustrator CS3 on Windows and no matter where an object is located, the X and Y coordinates always show 0. Very annoying. If you know how to fix this, please help...

Have you selected the object with the black arrow?
