Can anyone help, please!
I have been trying to connect to an Oracle or Access databases using but I cannot get thru even though I have already created dsn using odbc.
The most frustrating part is that I had someone actually get it to work for me but then my win2000 crashed and I had to reinstall.
Right now, I have the same directory and files but not able to connect.
example, I used to be able to connect like this:
127.0.0.1 being my pc server name, studracdb being the sub-directory name in directory and filename.asp being the asp file name. The asp has the dsn name, username and password.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What error message are you getting?

Make sure that you have created the alias to your web site directory e.g:

If you have your website directory in say C:\inetpub\ make sure that *IN IIS* you have right clicked that folder and created the site.

Make sure that you have IUSR_machinename machine being erm.. your machine name, and that if you have database which is writen to, that you have the write permission (on IUSR_machinename) on the folder that the database is in.

Alternatively it could be how your accessing your website.

Have you tried just using the actual name of your machine e.g:

give these a try.
