When I open Windows Explorer I get normal folder listing. On the left floppy drive, hard disk,..on the right folders and files. Let's say that I want to see what files are in Windows folder on drive C:.
I double click on the folder (Windows) in the right pane and a NEW explorer window openes. In this new window there are still drives in left pane and files of Windows folder in the right pane. But I don't won't explorer to open a new window each time I click on the folder in the right pane.
If I click on any directory in My Computer, the content appears in the same window, so nothing wrong there. Any ideas?

You should single click on the folder or drive letter in the LEFT pane and it will list the files in the right pane. Double click on a folder in the left pane will open any sub-folders - this is the same as clicking on the little plus sign. If you wanted to open a NEW window you would double click in the right pane. The address bar will also be showing the directory listing.

Jill.

vrs,
Check your View, Folder Options settings to see whether or not they are set to open items in a new window or in the same window.
Hope this helps.
