Sir i am working as an hardware (Computer Engg) in a private firm.

One of our customer asked for the windows 2000server family. The problem with the system is that after we say shutdown the shutdown screen will come and it does not shutdown. It stays in that condition itself what we should do is manually switch off the main supply.

Normally when we use ATX cabinet is that in the windows 95 or 98 operating system. When we shutdown the system the power to the monitor mother everything will be turned off automatically.

But in Windows NT the thing is that after we say shutdown the message (IT Is now safe to turn off the system come ) and we can switch it off from the switch in the cabinet.

But this is not happening so in the windows 2000 . The cabinet switch is not all working at this stage. But the power to harddisk ,keyboard everthing goes off except the monitor and mother board. It is not the hardware problem but the software can any give me the suggestion of sultion for this problem .

Please.

Awaiting for the reply from all the members .

Thanking you,
