Hello All,

I am in need of a solution to our problem. Back in april our company servers were infected with the klez virus. That was solved. We attempted to run a chkdks /f on our file server and we get the following error:

============================================================
F:\>chkdsk/f
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Chkdsk may run if this volume is dismounted first.
ALL OPENED HANDLES TO THIS VOLUME WOULD THEN BE INVALID.
Would you like to force a dismount on this volume? (Y/N) y
Volume dismounted. All opened handles to this volume are now invalid.

CHKDSK is verifying files (stage 1 of 3)...
File verification completed.
CHKDSK is verifying indexes (stage 2 of 3)...
Index verification completed.
CHKDSK is verifying security descriptors (stage 3 of 3)...
An unspecified error occurred.

F:\>
============================================================

Any help would be greatly appreciated because we have already destroyed and recreated the partion.

Thank you,
Jason Couto

Yes we tried that too... nothing seems to clean the partition. We also tried all the chkdsk /* functions. Nothing. :-(

like i mentioned we also destroyed the partition and reloaded from backup.
