I have had a ATI 9800 AIW for a while now. I have messed with the TV tuner features somewhat, but not that much. Anyway after having to return back to 4.4 Cat drivers the problem still arises that the volume during the TV program is low. I have plugged the audio cable from the vid card to my sound card through a splitter and its still at a low volume. if i unplug the adapter then the sound turns to normal on the program. Any suggesitons??? Also most of the time the TV program freezes and i have to restart my machine because it gets a horrible scrambled look.

What adaptor? Do you mean the splitter between the video card and the sound card? If so, and if taking the splitter out resolves the problem, then the answer should be clear.

I don't know about the TV freezing, but, if you are not using the latest drivers, that's a pretty good starting point. Windows says mine are 6.14 (for a 9700) although the ATI download file suggests version 8. At any rate, try the latest drivers.

The adapter is unhooked and the TV volume is increased but the volume from music on my PC is decreased. and the latest drivers have not worked thats why i went back to 4.4s

Splitters will normally cause a decrease in signal even if they're not connected to anything the other end.
