Hi, I am having a problem viewing videos with a resolution of 320x240 or less. They view fine in "original size" in Windows Media Player 9 but when i enlarge them or make them full-screen, strange "bars" show up on the bottom of the video that distort the picture. I never had this problem before, in other words, these videos used to play fine. I have updated my video card driver and i am wondering if this could be the cause or if it may be Media Player. It only seems to happen with WMV or AVI files.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

If the problem started right after updating the video card driver, then revert to the old driver.

ski - thanks for the reply. I know that was a pretty obvious answer, I do realize that I could do that, but I had such crazy issues with trying to upgrade the driver in the first place that I don't want to revert and screw things up more if that's not even a likely culprit. Any other tips anyone?

If the problem started right after upgrading the video card's driver, then that's the probable culprit.
Newer drivers are not always the best ones for specific applications.

If you describe the difficulties that you had installing the new driver, then perhaps we can help reinstalling the old one.
