I've been writing some databases lately with a bit of code in, nothing amazing, simple changes to list boxes sources, changing row sources based on selections in list boxes, etc.

Everytime I compact the database though half way through I get an error to say the database needs repairing, then when you click to repair it says it cant. The databse is then useless, you cant repair it and cant import anything from it.

This is not just one databse it's happening to a few different ones. Can this be a network problem ?? Do I need Access re-installing ??

Thanks. Thanks

Jamie

This may help or maybe not. You may have a corrupt record. The database will not compact if a record is corrupted. I have found corrupted records by going to my main table selecting a group of records and then right click and copy. I dont paste them anywhere, I just keep selecting records and copy. A corrupted record won't copy. I isolate the record and delete it. This has worked for me.
