Problem with triggering workflow

Hi,

We're trying to set up a basic helpdesksystem with the help of sharepoint. The idea is to have customers send an email to a list and then have those tickets added to a tasklist through a workflow.

Unfortunately it doesnt seem to be possible to send emails directly to a service request list or task list directly, hence the workaround.

When trying to set this up i used an annoucement list since that allows incoming emails.
The problem lies with setting up the workflow from the sharepoint site. Although i fill in all the fields the workflow just can't be processed ( the OK button is unclickable as are the worklow states dropdown menus)

Since the above didn't work i tried to make a workflow with Sharepoint Designer. This did in fact work partially. The mail was added to the announcement list, but wasn't automatically added to the tasklist. After manually starting the worklow from the announcement list it did appear on the task list.
The workflow was working but just didn't get started automatically although it was configured to start when an new item was added to the list.

Again, what could i be doing wrong?
