Hello All

I am hoping you may be able to help me with a problem i have with one of my cubes.

I have a cueb that runs at 1:00 am every morning. It is kicked off by Scheduler using a small BAT file.

My problem is as follows.
One of the IQD files is only reading 2048 records ( says so in the log file) when the cube builds at 1:00 am in the morning. But there are 3242 in the IDQ when i open it with IMP admin.

Also when i manually run the BAT file to generate the cueb when i get in the office the log file shows 3242 records and my cube is complete.

Has anyone every has a problem similar to this or can suggest of anything i can do to try and stop this anomily from happening.

Thanks in advance

Andy

Andy,
Curious - the only time I had something similar was when the data read coincided with the shut-down of the database; no error was reported in the transformer log and the cube merely had the data read up to the point that the DB closed. Is it possible that your cube build is co-inciding with some automated shut-downs/re-boots/back-ups in your network?

I have looked at this. My DB is shut down ay 20:00 each night but is then restarted at 00:00.

Also the source data is the same for the rest of the cube. This is one of the last IQD's to gather data from the DB. All previous IQD's that run in the sequence are complete datasets.

Dont ya just love these sorts of problems.

Andy,
Could anything else in your set-up/network have changed between 1:00 and when you ran the batch file/opened the report in impromptu?
The only other point I notice is that the number of records read is 2^11, which looks like some binary limit. Perhaps that's just a coincidence rather than a clue.
