Problem with the sort order on my report 1

Hello,

I have this sorting problem with one of my reports. I set the reports to sort on "Type" and "ItemNo.". The reports run fine until there are numbers such as 10, 11, 12, etc. It begins sorting the numbers by 10, 11...2,3,4,5 and so on. It seems that it groups the first number that begins with one first then begins sorting the remaining numbers in the correct order.

How can I fix this problem. I have pretty much tried everything within my knowledge.

Appreciate any help on this problem I can get.

If it is sorting 10, 11,12 2,3 then the field you are sorting by is a text field.

You could change the field in the table to be numeric
or
convert the number in the query (cint([column]}
or
in the report Sorting and Grouping you could create a column like this =cint([column]).
