Problem with the Sales Stage

Hi;

I specified a few values in the Picklist for the Sales Stage attribute, but when I run a Sales Pipeline report, the system marks "Not Specified" for the Sales Stage.

Also, when I open an Opportunity, and click on Actions> Change Stage, I have no option available!! (it's greyed)

The system acts like it doesn't recognize the values I specified in the Sales Stage attribute.

Can anyone help me please?

Just re-read your original message. you are talking about a picklist yet the actions-change stage menu is only used when you implement a sales process through workflow.

Sounds as if you have implemented a manual sales process using a drop down or picklist rather than a sales process using workflow

Yes that is exactly what I did...

I have specified the values in the Customization section... Should I have specified them in the workflow tool instead?

What is the right way to do it?

You need to create a sales process for the opportunity in the workflow tool. Once created you need to activate the sales process. From that point every new opportunity created will use the new sales process
