hi,
actually i do not know what is the problem i have.
i have 2 printers, 1 frm Canon and the other frm HP. after a few months of not using the printers, they couldn't print properly. print jobs will produce junk and onli print half a page for each piece of paper. is it the problem with data cables?? can they be repaired easily or should i 'pronounce' them dead?? thanks!

What application is causing the problem? What OS? Have you tried DOS to the printer port?
Knowing the nature of the beast, the cable is probably the last thing to suspect. The printer the next to last thing.
