Problem with the mail server Receiving mails

Hi

I am having a problem with the server with receiving mails. A POP account on the server will collect about 50+ mail the local mail server downloads them (DOS Based MS MAIL). during this time the uidfile shows as incorect and no mail are received into that box during this time. I imail server tries 3 times to get the mail in to the POP account. and if download goes on for too long then the mail is returned to the sender.

what can be done to over come this problem?
