Problem with the DNS !!! PLease Help!!

I have a great problem!
I have a network with a Win2K Sever and 3 Win2k Pro Cleints.
I have a DSL Conection. Now i ve the Server configured as the router and everything is functioning very well. The only Problem is that one cant surf all the websites from the Cleints. certian Websites for ex. Banks and also like

http://www.gmx.net

cannot get loaded. i treid configuring the DNS of my ISP on the DHCP server where i also configures the Router but still having the same Problem.

Please Somebody help.

Its a long shot, but in the DNS config, chack to see if you have a folder named . <----thats dot. If you have it there then delete it. All that will do is make you server think that its a root DNS server and it won't enable forwarding. Try configuring your workstations with ONLY the dns ip of your ISP. If they still can't resolve it then it is a problem with your ISPs DNS servers. Have you tried pinging the website by domain name AND ip from the workstation? If not give that a try. It may be resolving the name but the page is timing out for some other reason. From a command line type ipconfig /flushdns. This will purge your dns cache on each workstation. Try some of these things, if you need more help just hollar. All Complaints Will Be Routed To /dev/null

Don't forget after you delete the &quot;.&quot;, to add the ISP DNS server to the forwarders. You should then have the clients pointing to the server for DNS, if it's a not local name, it will forward to the ISP DNS. Matt Wray

I did delete the (.) Folder in the DNS but still the same Problem. when i give the commmand ipconfig /all on the cleint it shows me the correct DNS settings of my ISP. well i have a friend who has the same ISP but a linux system as the router and he has no problems with his cleients.
this is how my configuration looks like

Server
Server Network device
Ip : 10.0.0.1
DNS : 10.0.0.1
here i tried putting in my ISP's Dns but still the same Problem

DHCP
Router (03) : 10.0.0.1
DNS (006) : the IP of the ISP (194.25.2.129)

as i said when i use ipconfig /all on the Cleint then i get all the results correct
it shows me the router as 10.0.0.1 and the DNS of my ISP (194.25.2.129)

I really dont know where to search Please Help!!!

If you are on DSL, find out what protocol you are on. If you are on the common ones, incl PPPoE, then you are in luck- I have had the same problem (I use one server and 7 clients).
If you only have 3 machines, pay $100 bucks for a Linksys DSL Router(5 ports). You get a fair hardware firewall (not as good as 3COM, but only 10% of the price)and a good router with good tech support.

Let the router do the DHCP (disable your server's DHCP). Give your server a fixed IP in the sub mask like 192.168.10.2, and tell the Linksys Router (via a really easy IE interface) to turn on the DHCP and start at 192.168.10.5 to say 192.168.10.50. I screwed around with software solutions for about 2 or three weeks last year (getting totally stressed) when I finally just did this really simple setup and it has proven very efficient. I have not tried any of the other easy link products out there but I have heard that the big boys are putting out small routers for a reasonable price.
