I am not a newbie first off (been doing it for 6 years :) but i cant figure out this one thing. I DONT want my background to repeat in the table tag and if possible span across 100% and not the app. 75% it does right now cause it looks weird. Is there any tag to span it across the whole thing or have it not repeat? Thanks.

That would mean you were stretching it though? Wouldn't that have the potential to look ugly?

You can use style sheets to not repeat although netscape will ignore

background-repeat:no-repeat DeZiner

thanks, but, that isnt exactly what i want. i need it to span across the, say, 150 pixels width of the table but the image is only 100 and i understand the no repeat part but i want it to actually span. the reason it wont look 'ugly' is cause its a fading background sort of like in windows 98, me, etc. where the top toolbar thing says the program name and the background has fading colors. ANY HELP is greatly appreciated.

You could use the other end of the fade and stick it on the right hand side, instead of the left - then you always have the same amount.

CSS2 has no background-width unfortunately.
