Hello All,

While attempting to use SYSBACk or MKVGBACK on an old R40 server with AIX 4.3.2 I get the following error.

===================ERROR MESSAGE =======================
Rewinding rmt1 ...
Generating LVM information ..

[END] Command Error / Status

Cannot retrieve lvserial_id attribute for lv01
makelvrec[12]: origmb = lps * ppsize: 0403-009 The specified number is not valid
for this command.

Unable to create LVM information file!

======================END OF ERROR MESSAGE ==========
I have found some errors on the error report dealing with the JFS log on hd8 that needs to be increased in size. Problem with that is that this server only has (1) internal drive for ROOTVG and there are only 36MB (9pp) free. Have tried to recover some available space.

Any ideas as the error above has anything to do with the JFSLOG size. I get the same error if I try to do two other database VG on the server.
