Dear reader(s),

I have a problem with subforms. When I want to set the view property of a SUBform in a SUBform to continuous forms it says: "A form with a subform can't have it's DefaultView property set to Continuous Forms. You tried to add a subform to a form in Design View. Microsoft Access will reset the property to Single Form." Why can't it be set to Continuous Forms and if there is a solution, how can it be solved?

Thanks in advance,

Jochen.

Access won't allow both the parent and child forms to be viewed simultaneously in Continuous Forms view. If you want the child form to be continuous, the parent must be Single Form.

krispi,

thank you for your reply. I know what you are saying, but what I would like to know is why. Is it a linking problem, or can't it be updatable at the same time and it there a solution for it?
