I maintain our Intranet. I have been trying to put forms on our Intranet site - such as requests for sick leave, mileage expenses and so on. Some of these forms are pdfs, some are Word and some Excel. I try to make the pdfs fillable, but we are having problems with this. An employee can fill in the pdf page and save it to a hard drive, but when they call it back up, all the filled in information has disappeared and they have to start over. Is this because Adobe Acrobat Reader is a read only program and I have the full Acrobat program? Can Reader somehow save a pdf with filled in information? If not, I guess I will tell everyone they can fill in the boxes and print it out, but not save the "filled in" information. I don't think buying Adobe Acrobat for all our employees would be a good idea if that is what is necessary. Then everyone could change everything! I appreciate any help on this.
Thanks.

what version of acrobat reader do the end users have? If it is 3.x then saving form data may be a problem. If it is 5.0 you should have not problems.

If the version is not your problem the only other suggestion I have is to send the form data via FDF and import the information once it gets to your computer.

good luck.
Aloha,
cg
