Hi All,
I have samba installed out here and my users want that when they update AIX passwords their samba passwords must also get updated. Also they want a single password for both Samba and AIX. Is there any facility in Samba or a script that does it. And how safe is it....??
Any help would be most welcome. Thief................

I have samba installed. I handle password from an NT domain,
it is very easy an convenient for users because authentification is done from the NT domain and they don't have to give the password.
I think it is the best set up for samba.

Its really difficult for me to analyse the situation. The password program is 'yppasswd' but the thing worked after updating 'smbpasswd'. Can u clear this confusion Thief................ ::)
