I have a backup that has expired from the indexes that I needed to recover from. I had set the tapes aside so they were not overwritten. Legato had me run nsrck -L7 -t date <client name> to recover the index entry. Ok that worked, now I need to do the recover again, this time the index AND the volumes have expired. nsrck -L7 seems to complete with sucess but when I go into SAVESET->RECOVER and choose the client in the GUI I do not see the backup there. Also the volumes are still showing "0kb appen -".

1.) How can I verify that my index entry is actually back?
2.) What extra step needs to be done to get the volume info backup?

I am aware of the scanner methods but I am trying to avoid 24 hours of delays.

Thanks !!

nsrck -L7 just returns the latest information (since the last full). If you want to "add" a media or save set which does not exist in the databases any longer, you have to run scanner.
