problem with recordset (VB5 - Access2000)

I've connected to Access2000 database using data control object and when I try and add a new record using the recordset object I get the following error message:
Function or interface marked as restricted, or the function uses an automation type not supported in Visual Basic'.

can anyone assist?

If I'm not mistaken, you have to download a patch for VB5 to work with Access 2000.

It appears that I do require a patch for VB5 for it to work with Access-2000. I now intend using VB6.
