I have two databases displayed on a form, both contain business information such as company name, address details and post codes. One database contains incorrect name & address details, therefore I am exporting good data from the clean database to update address details in the not so clean database. I have linked the databases using the post code field, however the problem with this is there may be a number of addresses for every 1 post code. To combat this problem I want the query to also look at the first 3 letters of the company name. Any ideas, as I havent got a clue?
Thanks in advance

Paul

Here's one I use in the query design grid to fin all addresses that have the same first 4 numbers or like that....

Like Left$([Forms]![frmCustomerMaintenance]![txtAddressNumber],4) & "*"
