Problem with PAR CC swipe reader

Hello,

Does anyone know why a credit card swipe reader on a PAR register would not work after the register is rebooted during the end of day process in Aloha, but it works as soon as you unplug it and plug it back in? I appreciate any ideas you can throw my way. Thank you.
