here is an intersting problem i have encountered lately..
when i remove office 2000 standard from a machine and then install office 97 professional for the access part of it and then when i upgrade the rest back to office 2000 standard it removes the exchange server support for outlook. so then when i remove everything and then install just the office 2000 standard i once again ghet no exchange server support. what gives? i mena it all worked in the beginning with office 2000 standard but now it will only work when i install office 97 prof?

On a machine where you think you've "lost" exchange server. Open Outlook. Go to Tools-Services. If Services is not available, go to Tools-Options-Mail delivery and click on Reconfigure mail support and put the workgroup on.

Oops. Also Help-About. IMO=internet mail only; CW=corp wrkgrp

Corp must be installed for exchange server to become an option under Tools-Services, which you need in order to create a profile under control panel-mail.
