Has anyone have any idea?

I have a Legend R 4.2 V6.2 I just installed a PRI. To make it send the Base number + Extension I had to put the base number in as XXX3391111 with 3 digit extension number, That is a total of 13 digits. But that was the only way to get it to put out a 10 digit #. If I put in xxxyyyz plus extension the caller id goes out as less than a 10 digit #.

Well it works but any ideas? I don't want it to start working right some day & have the customer calling me needing it fixed when I'm in the middel of some other prodlem.

Thanks

The Outgoing CID on the Legend w/ PRI is very limited. If you are going to use the base number for your stations, they ALL need to match your base for the range of DID numbers you have, and that includes the CO code. You need to populate the whole field, ie: NPA NXX XXXX the first number in the range.

If the number that is sent is not one of yours, then the called party gets erroneous info on their display! Depending on the contractual arrangements of the service provider of the end office, this determines whether there is a LIDB lookup for the NAME to be populated on the called party's display or not.

So if you have a non-DID station placing a call when the system is set for using the base number to send the system WILL send that station number plus the base. Since it won't be your number if they try to call it back they will reach whomever it is assigned to, NOT you!

Hope this helps!

So your telling me you don't just put in a bace number. I would actully put in a full number. The the switch will delete the number of digits the extension is & add the extension number?

I worked other switches & only put in a base number 1-xxx-x
& had it work fine.

Yes, mitch1099 that is the "Legend logic." The switch does insert the appropriate digits, and if you have any non-DIDs what I said in the previous post will happen. I have tried all of them to find out just what the Legend would do on PRI.

Pacific Bell as a provider of PRI ISDN does not block any digits sent. That is the service I tested on from a 5ESS switch.
