Problem with Office Applications Loading

I just installed Office 2000 on a new computer, and every time I start up an application the program loads and suddenly disappears. This happens to all the applications accept Microsoft Word. Does anybody know what's going on?

Hi, sounds strange this one. The apps are not running minimized are they? If you double click on the icon then CTRL + ALT + DEL are they in task manager??

Or have you tried running them from the actual icon in the folder rather than the desktop shortcut??
