Dear all,

Can you kindly assist/advise me on how to deal with this problem I am experiencing.

I have a Prolain ML370 server running novell, hence I extremely new to novell and just join this job. I am unable to start the tape server because of the following message below:

4-24-2009 11:28:12 am: SERVER-5.70-2715 [nmID=D0003]
Module did not release 65536 resources
Module: BrightStor ARCserve 9.01 SCSI Tape
Resource: Tapesvr SCSI board memory
Description: Cache Memory Below 16 Meg (Bytes)

Can you let me know what I could do to fix this?

Thanks
Dave

Not used Novell for over 10 years now, but from memory this is a problem with the NLM shutting down. You may be better posting this question in a Novell forum as it is not an HP server issue.

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

I think we need more information to help. There are three components that could be causing the problem: Arcserve, NetWare, and HP (hardware). My guess would be Arcserve.

How much memory do you have in your server?
What else is running on your server?
What does your bti.cfg file look like (located in sys:\system)?
Have you run seg (NetWare memory analyzer) on your system (located here: Do you get the above error after a clean reboot or when?
