Problem with new installation of SUSE, gcc & make not found

I just installed SUSE off the cd and its not finding gcc or make, and who knows what else.

How do I get these commonly used programs?

Why dont they include them? How am I suppose to configure make and make install anything without them?

Try going into Yast and find the option to Add/Remove Programs and then filter for packages. You will have to install the developmental packages to get gcc and make.

Im looking at Package Groups and I see
Development
-Languages
-Libraries
-Tools
I have everything checked and gcc and make are still not there.

What is the exact Package Group I need installed?

Open YaST, click Install or Remove Software. Leave the filter on Search, don't change it to Package Groups or anything else. Type 'gcc' in the search box. Select the package in the right pane, install it. Repeat for 'make'.
