I want to use the NetBoot feature in the Xserve to send full computer images to newly purchased computers.
I setup a stand alone 10.4.8 Xsever on it's own network. DHCP enbled.
I created an image using System Image Utility and copied it to the server in Library/NetBoot/NetBootSPO
With Sever Admin I can see the image. Configured it as default, enable, Protocol is NFS. No filters are setup. Started NetBoot Services. I also have a TFTP server running and it see's the image.
Restart computer to be imaged, holding down the N key. I get past the spinning Earth icon. After that all I get is a spinning gear icon and nothing happens. No network activity.
When I go back into Server Admin and NetBoot -Clients- I can see the Client computer. I can also ping the computer. The log files aren't much help.
Any ideal what I'm doing wrong?
