Problem with my sendmail configuration

Hi together,

I'am a sendmail newbie and I need a liile bit prof. help

I setup my sendmail Ver. 8.12.2.All was going well. I can send a mail from my server.

Now I enable my parameter

SMTP_AUTH_MECHANISMS="plain"
SMTP_AUTH_SERVER="mail.web-springer.ch"

this requires an entry in my /etc/mail/aut/auth-info

AuthInfo:web-springer.ch &quot;U:info&quot; &quot;P=<xxxxxxx>&quot;

When I want to send a mail I only get a failure

Relaying denied. Proper authentication required

I dont know whats wrong now, please help

Your e-mail client should have a special place to enter the authentication info. This is not the same a the user name and password you usually set for access to the mail servers.
