Dear communitiy,
I have a little problem with my TTL, MTU und MSS value.
gives me the following result:
Time to live left = 56 hops
TTL value is ok.
MTU = 1448
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.
MSS = 1408
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.
Ok so far.
MSS schould always be MTU-40, but in the registy i have set the value of MSS to 1452 and MTU to 1492.
(MSS : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\MSTCP)
Must the Dwordfile DefaultMSS exist in the TCPIP parameters folder?
TTL is also set to 64. DefaultTTL = 64
TcpWindowSize = 2000. Working well.
Dr. TCP says also that the TTL is set to 64 and MTU to 1492.
MTU DISCOVERY is also set to 0.
My connection:
DSL 1000 without Fastpat. Provider: Freenet.
Netgear router without WLan
Windows 2000
SiS 900 PCI FAST ETHERNET ADAPTER.
I'm having another problem in relation with counter-strike.
I use this settings to lower my "recoil".
This was working well for a short time. All 7 deaglebullets were hitting the middle of the crosshair.
Now I did test settings for my friends, so I changed my values and now it's only working on some kind of servers (e.g. 193.17.219.48:27856)
What could be causing the problem?
Could it be the different ports?
I upped 2 pictures that should show what I mean.
The first one shows lowrwin where you can see 5x20 bulletholes.
All 5 sectors with each 20 bullets did nearly hit the middle of the crosshair (lanfeeling, because on lan all bulltes hit the middle)
The second one shows the standartsettings. Where you can see the bulltes sprays a lot after 5 shots (not 20 shots) so you have a worse disadvantage.
I'm awaiting your help
Thanks
