Hello :)

I'm using Apache on a VPS and I check my stats with Awstats.

But I've noticed that, every month, long periods of days have simply zero visitors which I know is impossible.

Furtermore, the same problem (almost with the same days) occures on the other domains on this VPS.

Anyone heard of similar issues?

Thanks for helping ! :)

Hello ericbrunson :)

I don't know what to answer but here are some of the settings of my awstats.xxxxxxx.conf files.

AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser=1
PurgeLogFile=1
ArchiveLogRecords=0
KeepBackupOfHistoricFiles=1

The update of the stats is always done manually by clicking on the "update now" button.

Do your logfiles get "rolled"? i.e. when they get large do they get moved to a different file name and compressed or deleted? This is the most common reason for problems with missing stats.

OK I'm gonna check this.
But since I have a lot of free space on the server, I doubt that log files got "rolled". Furthermore, I don't have a high traffic.

Thanks again ;)
