Hello, I am writing from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have a Linksys router to which my cablemodem ISP connects. The ISP has dynamic DNS. The problem is: I don't know how to get MSN working (sending and receiving files). Last week I found to use a static DNS as the solution but when the provider changed the DNS, I could not access Internet anymore.
Any help on this subject will be very welcome.
Thanks.
G. Lorenzo.

Leave the router set to obtain the IP dynamicly.

On the password screen, enable uPnP

Donwload from Microsoft Directx 9.0a
Download from Microsoft the newest Messenger version

From Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components, Network, check SSDP Discovery Service, and the uPNP client and apply.

Your answer was really helpful. Now everything is working fine.
