Problem with Internet explorer C++ runtime error

Hello- Lately while using IE a box will popup that says
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program C:\ProgramFiles\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
abnormal program termination
after that my IE closes down.
Any suggestions??

This window popping up seems to coincide with an advertizing pop up. Maybe a coincidence...maybe not!!

Not sure what this has to do with C++, but try getting a popup killer and upatig your antivirus definitions.

It may be that the popup (if it is always the same one) is trying to execute some code that is hostile to your system, or designed to work on a different browser
