Hello, our restaurant has Micros 3700. When we were trained in the system we were informed once and order is sent and there is a timestamp on it, it cannot be altered. However, this becomes a hindrance if the individual calls back that made the order or informs the waiter they would like something added to the dish or have a dish made a certain way. There doesn't seem to be a quick way to go about making the change. The original dish has to be deleted and put in again with the message or addition that was requested. If there any way at all you can alter a dish that already has a timestamp on it?

Are you using KDS or printers in your kitchen? I think it's possible with KDS, but once an order is printed, well, it's printed.

Honestly if there was a way to edit an order that's already been sent, I don't think I'd use it. Showing an item as voided and reordered with different/additional preps seems the best way to make sure the chefs see it and avoid confusion in the kitchen.
