I have created a field with a general dtae format, and have put in an input mask of

00/00/00" "00:00

However, when I try to input a date and time, for example, 010605 1100 for 11am on 1/6/05, I get an error message telling me that the value I have entered is not valid for that type of field, and that I may have entered text in a number field or the number is larger than the field length permits.

I can't see what I am doing wrong, as I am entering only numbers and in the format that the system is asking for.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to solve this please?

Hi
Have you tried setting the input mask to (?):
00/00/00\ 00:00;0;_

I hadn't, but I have now and it works. Thank you.
