Problem with holidays in calanders

I'm having a problem setting vacation/holidays on my project. When I select a resource from my resource pool, and then click the "change working time button" I select the calendar that I want to use. (in this case standard) However, once i click ok to save the change in calendar, it resets itself. If I re-open the same resource calendar, it didn't stay with the selection I just made. Anyone ever have this problem or know how to fix it? Hopfully my description makes sense.

I've actually answered my own question with some more messin around. In the resource list, in the base calendar colum there was some calendar listed that doesn't exist and it was screwing everything up.
