Problem with hold and transfer

Hi,

In a client's IPO 406 V2 firmware 4.0.5 I have the following problem. If you make an outside call, before the call is answered, you cannot put that call on hold. If you try to answer another call or try to transfer the call before it is answered the call is dropped. My company is using a Definity system, and I know that you can put a call on hold before it is answered, so technically it can be done. But can it be done on an IPO and if yes how.
