Problem with GoDaddy / PayPal Email

I have a website hosted by GoDaddy where I will be selling memorabilia. PayPal will be the method by which customers can pay.

I set up an email address at my domain and added it to my PayPal account list. They then send a verification email so you can confirm the address. It never comes, no matter which of my GoDaddy domains I use. I finally set up a gmail account and I got the confirmation email immediately.

I would prefer to have an address based at my domain since it looks more professional. GoDaddy uses PayPal all the time and has it integrated into their products so I don't get it.

Any help is most appreciated.

For giggles and grins go into Gmail and setup forwarding to your Godaddy domain address -- then send an email to your Gmail address. See if you receive it on your Godaddy domain address.

If so, at least you know your Godaddy email is working.

How long has your Godaddy domain been registered? Perhaps PayPal doesn't see it in their DNS servers yet.

did you try loging into the webmail and see if it is in there

The domain has been registered forever so they absolutely recognize the DNS. I created the email on Saturday, first as a forward and then as a pop box. Both worked normally except they didn't' work with PayPal. I used Windows Mail to download the messages and also tried it where I checked it in Webmail without turning on Windows Mail.

Then, I took a domain address which is about five years old and which I receive messages at all the time and tried that. It didn't receive a PayPal confirmation either.

For some reason the email has now started functioning. I don't know why but I'm happy. You folks must be lucky for me!

Thanks for all the info.

sometimes if you make changes to your godaddy account it can take up to 48hrs to become active

glad you got it set up
