Problem with /gcc-3.4.6--making

I am installing /gcc-3.4.6;
the ./configure is successful. When I ran make (/usr/local/bin/make), I am getting the following error at the end.
loading cache ./config.cache within ltconfig
configure: error: libtool configure failed
make: *** [configure-target-boehm-gc] Error 1

Can you please help me out.

I have tried
export CONFIG_SHELL=/bin/ksh
Then the following error got displayed
/bin/ksh config.status
config.status: error: cannot find input file: Makefile.in
make[2]: *** [stamp-h] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/apps/gutmu01/gtk/gcc-3.4.6/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/libf2c/libU77'
make[1]: *** [u77] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/apps/gutmu01/gtk/gcc-3.4.6/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/libf2c'
make: *** [all-target-libf2c] Error 2
