I have a XFX FX5200 256MB and when i put in i get no video and then i hear the pc restarting and then still no video and nothing happens. Whne i take it out and run on onboard video in the POST i get a message saying something like "your settings were not saved because of overclocked settings please enter setup to change settings".My system is not overclocked.
What is the cause of this and can it be fixed?

System Specs:
Motherboard: Biostar M7VIG 400
Processor: AMD Duron 1600GHz
Memory: 2X 256MB DDR266

Thanx

Did you check your MB's documentation for an option to disable the onboard video adapter, either with a MB jumper or with a BIOS setting, prior to installing the new video card?

yes i have checked and there is no option to do so. i was thinking maybe it could be that maybe there is a problem with one of the voltages on the video card. I have tried a another card in there and it works fine (Radeon 9200 26MB). any thoughts on that matter?

Does the 5200 card have a socket for additional voltages?

no it does not. i was thinking this because of the message i receive about the overclocked settings, maybe it could be one of internal voltages. have tried the card on 2 other boards and have gotten the same result.

It's possible that the card is bad.
