Problem with frames around image

Good day,

Just suddenly, Indesign started doing something wierd. Lately when I 'place' a rectangular image within my document the frame around the image no longer fits snuggly to the image. The frame now comes in larger than the image. Sometimes on only two sides and sometimes on all four. I'm not doing anything differnet when I create the image before I place it in my document that I'm aware of. Anyone know what's going on?
