I run 6i forms which have fields that convert a numeric entry (010102) to a date formatted like Tuesday, January 1, 2002. My problem is, when I also have the Oracle networking client installed, the date conversion time goes up exponentially. Where it normally takes microseconds to tab from the date field to the next field, it can take up to 30 seconds for the data conversion to occur.
Machines that only have the Forms, reports, and graphics runtime files work fine. Machines that also have the Oracle Network client (ODBC, SQL+, etc) have the slow down.
Any ideas - going to the 8.1.5 client did not help.
