I have a form thats based off a query which has 3 tables linked..

They are linked by a field called "manifetsNu"

I also have another form which the manifestNu gets logged in..The manifestNu may get logged in several different times but the number is the same.Creating a new record for each manifestnu entered.

when I go to one of those records and enter data in some of the fields, it adds that data to all the other records that have the same manifestnu...

why??

Can someone help with this?

Thanks in advance

Not sure
you need to investigate how you are saving the records on the other form as you wrote above
"another form which the manifestNu gets logged in.."

Are you sure you are really creating more than one record?
are you saving the record
I do something smilar to this but I gave each record a unique ID cause I was not sure which one I was really editing later.
see this screen capture. the Line Number on the end of the sub form is that Unique ID

look down at the "Access Tracking Part Locations" image

Right below that are 2 video's which load in your Windows Media player of the process to enter that data using barcodes.
