problem with first time test servlets

Dear experts,

I downloaded the jsdk2.1 and followed all the instructions to run a servlet on windows98. (I use the jsdk sever.)
however, when I type "startserver" from DOS command line, the server is not running! just see a flash and nothing else!!
what is wrong with it?

Hi,

To make sure your server is really running, try opening a browser and type into the location:-

http://localhost:8080/

Make sure you change the settings of your browser not to use a proxy server for connection. If no page displays, it means that you did not configure the JSDK server properly.

Take a look at this page:-

It teaches you how to configure the JSDK server.
