I have a networkk that uses ATA'S for ther faxes but i ant get the faxes to work, well some of them is it the faxes or is it the QOS or is it to do with acl

Its most likely the ATA causing this.. When it detects a fax it should kick in a fax-relay or fax-passthrough mode..

Search cisco.com on this you'll find tons of examples.

What ATA's are they?

We use grandstreams on ours and we have to change the fax option to pass through and not Auto detect.

Also is UK based (and many other countries) you'll need an RJ-11 to BT converter with a Capacitor in it, otherwise it won't ring the fax

Only the truly stupid believe they know everything.

Another thing to check is that the codec the ATA is using is G711, if its compressed it can mess up Fax/ Modem data transmission
