Hi,

I am using crystal XI.

I have a report with page heading and one group in the report. I have gorup heading and column names in the group header, then I have details and in the group fotter section i have the runnig total field. I am trying to export this report to excel but could not figure out how to do it so that the report will be exported as it looks when I look it in the crystal. I tried various combinations of the options for exporting to excel but could not figure it out.

Thanks for any help.

in design view on your report... make sure you use vertical guidelines for all of your fields to include group headers and footers. Make sure the field is "attached" to the guideline as well. You will know it is attached in design view because the corners will be red.

continued ....

each field should share the vertical guideline of the field next to it. if they dont, then you will get empty cells importing to excel between fields.
