For Full backup, in the backup setting for exchnage, i select "Full database & log (flush commited log)"

For Differential backup, in the backup setting i select "differential - Logs"

I manage to perform a full backup with no error. However, when i perform a differential backup, it failed

the error log

Final error: 0xa0008498 - Incremental and differential backups are not possible because one or more of the Microsoft Exchange transaction log files has been deleted since the last backup.

Qns : the error mention that log were deleted. Isn't exchange suppose to flush all logs after a full backup ? if not then what is the corrct setting on the exchange or the backup exec ? Anyone can help?

I forget to mention i am running BE 9.1 with microsoft server 2003, exchange 2003

Thanks

Be sure you do not have circular logging enabled on the Information store you are trying to back up. If you have circular logging enabled, Exchange will delete old transaction logs that have been committed, whether they've been backed up or not.

You should disable circular logging on the information stores you are trying to back up so that Incrementals and Differentials are possible.
