hi, i just installed gentoo 2004.3
and i'm having some problems with my network card: eth0.
i can't connect to the internet and when gentoo is coming up,
he is writing "...eth0 vid dhcp" and then red **.

here is my /etc/conf.d/net file, please help me

First there's this:
[tt]iface_eth0="192.168.0.2 broadcast 192.168.0.255 netmask 255.255.255.0"[/tt]

Then there's this:
[tt]iface_eth0="dhcp"[/tt]

It looks like you are trying to assign a static IP address, then have the interface get it's IP information via DHCP. Which is it? As for getting on the internet, how are you connecting? Dial-up or cable/dsl/some always-on connection? Some more information would be helpful :)

Did you emerge dhcpcd before rebooting off the livecd?
